A time and a place can’t be determined when thinking of the origins of 1500 or Nothin. Growin up, Larrance Dopson, Chucc “Unlce Chucc” Hamilton, and Kenneth “Bam” Alexander always found some time to devote to music. Staying true to their religious backgrounds, the church was the first place where the public got introduced to these talented musicians. Through the different church concerts, they met Lamar “Mars” Edwards and Chris “Brody Brown” Brown.

The chemistry between them was immediate and it was evident that they would go far beyond their church days. Soon after they started playing local acts all over the Los Angeles area, they began to get recognized by some of the biggest names in the industry, but it wasn’t until Bobby Valentino’s manager at the time, who saw them perform at one of the show and decided to hire them to play with Bobby Valentino.

The band continued to evolve and explore new horizons; they were blessed with the opportunity to tour the world with multi-platinum artists like Lupe Fiasco, Snoop Dogg and David Banner. In each one of their shows, 1500 puts out energy that makes the crowds bounce, dance and move. They quickly realized that their performance abilities should not be limited to just being other artists band. With the talent to write, sing and produce their own music, they brought in other 1500 or Nothin members (James Fauntleroy, J.Black, Yung Walt, Alexandria, and others) and began recording.

With tons of songs recorded, hitting just about every genre of music, “The Fifteen Hundreds” are ready to debut their music to the world. With their eclectic, funky, and musical stylings, they are set to take you on a ride you won’t want to get off.

“It’s only a matter of time before everyone begins to throw a 3 and a 5 in the air”
